ARTIST OF THE WEEK #13 – JON BURGERMAN

Pop past the window of UO Leicester this week and your eyes will be treated to one mad mural makeover from illustrative artist, Jon Burgerman.

With a style defined by his original use of abstract characters and intense colour palettes, the Brooklyn-based artist (originally from Nottingham) boasts a long list awards for his commercial projects with some of the worlds biggest brands, as well as exhibitions alongside the likes of Banksy, Vivienne Westwood and satirical illustrator, Gerald Scarfe.

I’d simply describe my style as fun, so I wanted the window mural to reflect this. The result is colourful portal to another dimension, featuring a giant three-eyed pizza.
