STREET STYLE – MR. BOY AT LCMJanuary 13, 2015
Now in its third year, London Collections: Men is quickly establishing itself as one of the UK’s most important menswear fashion events, showcasing over 70 British designers and providing a platform for emerging talent.
To get the lowdown on all the up-and-coming trends, we sent menswear fashion blogger, Mr. Boy, to act as our eyes and ears whilst he cruised around the AW15 events.
“Starting off the New Year was a special treat from London Collections, which celebrates its first season as a four day showcase as opposed to the usual three. For the designers, this means there’s a bit more breathing room around shows, and a little less fear of people flying off to Florence before they even see the collection. For the spectators like myself, there’s more downtime to people watch, catch up with old friends and overload on coffee.
In terms of the street style surrounding these types of events, London has always been pretty diverse. The high street has really influenced the way people dress due to its access to all trends. In addition to the usual head-to-toe tailoring, there’s playful takes on suiting, plenty of long monotone coats, lots of double denim and real attention to accessories.
I’ve snapped up some of the very cool looks during the four days, of which include some of my favourite street style photographers and writers within the industry.” – Mr. Boy
