NEW STUFF! THIS WAY!August 30, 2012
There are gazillions (nearly) of lovely new threads landing on our site right now. They’re handsome, pretty and awesome all at once, and will be lining our wardrobes within the week. Gasp at the brands, marvel at the colours, get a little too excited about the new season shapes.
For the first time, we’ve got MW Matthew Williamson touching down online. Expect to see bold prints, high-octane finishes and colours that shouldn’t go together but do. Purity rears its pretty little face with a sweet dose of Little White Lies, also. Cut-away Peter Pan collars? We think so.
Go for luxury knitwear and directional accents with Le Mont St Michel or channel your inner high-end risk taker with perfect pieces from MM6 by Maison Martin Margiela. Mink Pink are back for another season of madcap prints and a touch of 80s madness, while Pins & Needles have flirty skirts and lace trims all sewn up.
Hop on board with Petit Bateau and fall into easy nautical separates to mix and match all season long – check out their tiny woolen shorts! Silence + Noise pull it out of the bag again with a floaty, feminine collection that’s exclusive to us at Urban (and on everybody’s wishlist).
There are the season’s most lust-worthy coats from Hearts and Hands, stand-out denim from BDG and unfathomably pretty dresses from Vaudeville & Burlesque. Seek out luxury modern essentials from Won Hundred and utter madness from House of Holland (we love the pinch tee).
Get creative and embrace your wild side with the denim, patchwork, statement craziness that is Bitching & Junkfood and pay homage to the fashion legend we know as Vivienne Westwood. Hells yes, girls, this is a season to experiment!
Carhartt have come up trumps this season with a lot of muted tones and camo pieces that are going to look awesome next to Cheap Monday’s rich checks and tough denim.
Speaking of jeans, have we mentioned our friend Dr Denim? He’s visiting from Sweden and is terribly good at making perfect trousers. Or how about cousin Edwin, fresh from Japan and with a penchant for crew necks and quality legwear? And let’s not forget 5th and Main, who are brand new to the scene; thought up in London, developed in Copenhagen and made in Europe – they’re the most continental jeans we know!
As the label on the lips of every guy in the know, Shore Leave has become the go-to brand for clean-cut pieces with a nautical touch. Ahoy there! We see land! Yarrrr Cap’n! You get the idea…
Let’s talk about Universal Works shall we? Let’s talk about simple pieces expertly made and fit to perfection. Let’s talk about wearing them all day, every day until they fall off and we have to buy some more. And what of Eleven Paris and their street-smart vibe? Lots of black, lots of straight lines and buckets full of cool.
Farah Vintage are soaking up the limelight with bottle green and port red, rich navy and cadet blues. These pieces will slot into your existing wardrobe so perfectly you’ll wonder how you did without them for so long. Breton stripe anyone? And if it’s a more outdoorsy vibe you’re after, look no further than Ralph Lauren’s Denim & Supply, championing woodcutter cool for guys everywhere. Soooo… How many can we put you down for?
