DISPOSABLE DIARIES #12: TROPICS

April 27, 2015

With their second jazz-electronic album now firmly released on LA-based label Innovative Leisure; Tropics’ live show guitarist Keith Vaz has been in full swing with this year’s touring schedule. We kitted him out with a few disposable cameras to take on tour in Tokyo. Here’s the result.

Artist and brother of Keith, Jason Vaz has created a Salvador Dali -meets- Inception style series of images using a scalpel, a ton of disposables, some post-production, and of course covert art from Tropics’ new album ‘Rapture’. He calls it a “photographic collage that merges several layers of images; the final outcome very much representing the surreal dream-like state encountered when experiencing Japan for the first time.”
