Put your biggest boots on and pack some spare batteries for your torch- this edition of Future Noise finds us deep in the woods with starry-eyed Londoners Landshapes. Taking your ears down a dark path into an eclectic, haunted soundscape, the band’s second album Heyoon is a place of mysterious creatures and unfamiliar sounds.

It all starts innocently enough, setting off with surf guitars and optimistic rhythms. But things turn a little bit dangerous when the bass makes its entrance, prowling around your ears like the beast of Bodmin moor. There’s a whole menagerie of sounds in here; beautiful psych-ey vocal melodies soaring over prog guitars with the reverb turned up, tinkling xylophone parts dance with intricate beats – It’s a surreal, enchanting place that casts a heady spell.
