FUTURE NOISE: GEORGIA

June 26, 2015

Pop is about to get its fizz back. From her bedroom studio in North West London, multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer Georgia has been quietly preparing an explosion. Shaking together experimental pop in the vein of early Bjork and MIA with grimey beats and dub basslines, her eponymous debut album looks set to blow like a can of tango in a tumble dryer.

Georgia’s been working on this album for two years, while drumming for London musical luminaries like Kwes, Elan Tamara and Kate Tempest. The slow careful work shows; repeated listening reveals new layers and intricate beats beneath the big hooks. Give your ears a treat by listening to her new single, below.

Georgia’s debut album, ‘Georgia’ is out on Domino on 7th August. You can catch her supporting Hot Chip on their UK tour in the autumn.
