autumn essentials

Despite the fact that school was more years ago than we care to admit, it doesn’t mean we’re over those ‘back to school’ vibes we get at the start of September.

We know that summer is over, you spent all your hard earned cash dolla on that two week vacay you had in July (which might as well have been last year because one day back at the office and you were all, holiday? When, where?) We fully understand the encroaching feeling of dread at packing away those denim shorts and Birkenstocks and embracing dark mornings and dark evenings. There is however, a glimmer of hope because those fading summer feelings are counterbalanced by the opportunity to resurrect gigantic knits and rollnecks. Tell us who isn’t a little bit excited by that prospect?

And this season, there are more autumn hero items than you could shake a stick at. Embrace the chunky knits, the clunky shoes and cord. Because it could be worse. Picture those autumnal leaves, and look forward to the delicious taste of pumpkin spice latte as we tick off your top ten essential items this autumn.

Wood Wood Joni Suede Jacket

We’re kicking off our essentials list with a buttery soft suede piece from Wood Wood. Sorry leather jacket, there’s a new kid in town. When the temperature drops below zero, layer this under a faux-shearling coat.

Teal Courduroy Shirtdress

No longer reserved for your Dad’s trousers, corduroy is our fabric of choice this season. This shirtdress in a rich teal will add a welcome splash of colour to your winter wardrobe. We can’t wait to be clad in cord.

Minkpink Just Obsessed Cream Coat

Our dreams have materialised in the form of this coat. Nothing else to add to that.

Cord A-Line Skirt

Didn’t we say we’re crazy for cord? The A-line skirt saw us through the summer in denim button-up styles, but we’ve given it a makeover in autumnal colours and textured fabric.

Roll Neck Jumper

We love to layer and the humble roll neck makes the ultimate layering companion. Tuck into an A-line skirt or have it peeking out of a shirtdress for style points.

BDG Brushed Belted Cardi

The belted cardigan is a hero piece this season, mainly because it feels like you’re sliding right into your dressing gown. The warm shades and retro print of this one will keep you looking ‘70s ready.

Baseball Tee

The ‘70s-inspired baseball tee is our basic staple piece choice. Coming in a myriad of colours, you’ll always have one to pair with your favourite flares or A-line mini.

Tori Snake Calf Boot

One of our favourite autumn past times is kicking crisp, fallen leaves during a chilly evening stroll. We’ll enjoy it even more when we have these faux snake-skin ankle boots on our feet.

Blanket Cape

There was a dark time when it was deemed inappropriate to leave your abode wrapped in a blanket. Luckily the times have changed. Getting up for work in the morning will become oh so much easier once you can fall out of bed, drape this lovely cape around your shoulders and leg it out the door.

Danielle Foster Charlie Leather Box Bag

This mock-croc leather bag is the finishing touch to our essentials list and to your outfit. This creation by Danielle Foster is the perfect addition, taking you from day to night all season long.
