FUTURE NOISE: HAZING

March 11, 2016

The latest to join the growing ranks of the hazy synth pop scene in London, Hazing’s EP belongs to the murky realms of nighttime where psychedelic sounds blend with lo-fi synth.

Having grown up between Dublin and Holland, the 25-year-old was inspired to start producing music whilst living in Vancouver. Fast-forward to London 2016 and he’s been picked up by Indie label, Happy Valley Records.

Hazing’s debut four track EP, Joy Void is a delicious blend of dreamy guitar riffs, happy melodies and whirling textures. Wistfully melancholic, Joy Void is filled with bursts of analog static and at times feels like your head has been shut in a microwave. Think Boards of Canada meets Tycho.
