Sophisticated and sultry vocals paired with pensive, wistful lyrics and just a hint of nostalgia, we love Laurel Arnell-Cullen’s new brand of folksy alt-pop.

Written, recorded and produced by the 21-year-old in her bedroom, ‘San Francisco’ is the second song from her forthcoming debut album, to be released on Theia Recordings.

A track about being divided by an ocean in a long distance relationship, Laurel’s husky vocals give a gritty, raw insight into living a life where you’re separated from the person you love.

One to file next to Lorde, Bishop Briggs and Lana del Ray.
