German siblings, Max and Katharina style up their favourite winter looks. From long-line bomber jackets and cosy beanies to sherpa jackets and fleece jogging bottoms. Over to you, guys…

Look One

In the winter, I approach my style like I’d approach a boyfriend: it should make me feel warm, look good on me, be cool and casual and accompany me everywhere.

This wonderful green bomber jacket fits the job description perfectly and through its oversized cut, is much more than a warming companion. It looks discreet and a little reserved from the outside, but its eye-catching orange lining makes it impossible to overlook. Matching the style of the jacket, the BDG trousers are my absolute favourite piece – the most comfortable part of my wardrobe, and therefore in continuous use.

The grey turtleneck pullover is the soft core, which every girl needs. This is irreplaceable. It is versatile and unbelievably comfortable. Furthermore, it gives the look a classic touch. Throw on a pair of classic white Vans and the look is almost complete. I would never forget to leave the house without my Kanken rucksack. He is a true gentleman and handles me like a real lady.

Look Two

Winter here in Germany can often be pretty cold and rainy. However, there’s no such thing as bad weather if you have the right clothes. With my warm and waterproofed jacket from Urban Renewal, I’m armed against the bad winter weather. Its green colour also blends in with all the fir trees you find at the winter markets around this time of year.

I like my outerwear to be oversized so that there’s a bit of room for a jumper or a flannel shirt, like this red one. (Something has to brighten up this grey weather!) The slightly bigger jacket and the relatively loose check shirt are balanced out by these streamlined, black jogging bottoms. The fleece material is not only totally comfortable and cosy, but also really warm. Like, really warm. I’m the kind of person whose hands are always freezing. So gloves are always a welcome addition for me. The only thing left to complete this look is a pair of black Docs. Said and done.

Look Three

Whether you are wearing this piece by itself, or covered over with a jacket – this little black piece will soon be a favourite, best friend and constant companion in anyone’s wardrobe. I wear my black Tommy Hilfiger jumper at any time of day or night. It accompanies me to cafes, cuddles with me on the sofa, eats roasted almonds at the Christmas markets with me, goes ice skating with me and comes with me on long winter walks. Its super soft inner lining keeps you warmer than you think and is ideal for cold winter days. Furthermore, it looks really cool with a pair of black trainers, getting you from A to B in the most stylish way. The casual, wide leg trousers and the grey cosy scarf complete the outfit. The jeans are extremely comfortable and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Together with the soft scarf, it makes for a great skater girl look. Sometimes, you just want to be the cool girl and not the princess!

Look Four

My second outfit is perfect for a sunny winter day. I’ve chucked on my marine blue wool jacket, which I’ve fallen in love with because of the Sherpa collar. It is soft and light and complements the blue fabric of the jacket really well. It is a detachable collar which you can take off (obviously it is winter so I’m leaving it on for now!)

Under the coat, I’m simply wearing a white Levi’s tee. I have a habit of wearing a lot of white shirts and find that they match really well with red and blue colour pallets. A more causal look for me is jeans, which is why I’m wearing some slim fits in this look. In my opinion, jeans should be tight, but also stretchy and comfortable. The Cheap Monday jeans fit my criteria perfectly! My Dr Marten boots round off this look perfectly. I think this look would work perfectly in the spring too.
