Blogger @joicymuniz went to Copenhagen last week for Copenhagen Spring/Summer ’18 fashion week! Here’s what she got up to, as well as her recommendations for a great break in the city. Over to you @joicymuniz…
Last week was Copenhagen Fashion week SS18. During fashion week you become familiar with new trends and get a feeling for what is moving in the fashion world, and here you get to enjoy the amazing and minimalistic Scandinavian design. Copenhagen is known as the city of the bikes, so when it’s summer and fashion week, the only thing to do is to jump on the bike and pedal between the shows.

Although my calendar is fully packed with shows, I allowed myself some breaks to enjoy the city and get a little bit of extra energy. Copenhagen is so beautiful and full of cool and secret spots. Here are some of my favorite spots to visit between shows…
First of all, Nyhavn, it’s not a secret spot but it is of course a place that you will pass a lot between shows, so why not to take some minutes to enjoy the vibrant port, full of colourful buildings? It is very peaceful and there is a very nice shop with ice cream and waffles!
Secondly, I went to many events and shows close to Papirøen, so I decided to make a quick visit. This place is a very good choice for lunch or dinner, especially if you want to have many different options to choose from and want a different experience than you get in traditional restaurants. At Papirøen you will find typical food from Denmark, Morocco, India, Turkey, Brazil, Mexico, and so many other places. It’s delicious! You also get the opportunity to eat with this beautiful view of the harbour.

Third, promise me that when you have some time on a sunny day, go to the area close to Christiania and enjoy the view and nature. It’s so nice and calming – a perfect cure for some stressful days!
Last but not least, a cool spot to make that quick stop between shows is the Apollo Bar. Located in the very heart of Copenhagen, the place is cool and has a very nice menu. Perfect to get powered up for the next shows!
