OUT OF CON-TROLLMarch 7, 2013
Ever fancied adding an extra element to your clothes? Perhaps you even have a fascination with Trolls? Well you’re in the right place you crazy cat you, as we’ve found the DIY troll making tutorial of your dreams.
When we saw the tutorial over on the Beckerman Bite Plate blog, we had no choice but encourage our French UO chum Delphine Bost to try it out. With total enthusiasm and ultimate style, Delphine shows us how to make Troll pants of our very own…
You will need:
1. Troll drawing. Use this as your template to outline the body and help draw the face.
2. Hot glue gun.
3. Faux fur (for the hair).
4. Article of clothing.
5. Acrylic paint.
6. Permanent marker.
Got it all? Here we go…
First print out a template of a troll. You can cut off the hair on the paper too because that part is the faux fur and you just need the body part to outline so they look somewhat the same size.
Outline the trolls on your jeans, jacket or purse with a permanent marker. Free hand the face!
Paint the troll. Mix a paint color for the troll’s skin and paint around the permanent marker. Don’t worry if you cover up the face a bit with the paint. You can outline it again with the permanent marker and trace over your steps once the paint has dried.
Cut long big triangles of the faux fur and hot glue gun them on the troll’s head as their hair…
Voila… you have your very own Troll trousers!
Totally Trollific! If you manage to create your own Troll garments then be sure to Instagram us a pic @uoeurope. Do it. Do it now.
