SPRING CATALOGUE: AT THE ARCADE

March 16, 2013

You know what we didn’t expect to find when we were on our spring catalogue shoot? A late-night not-for-profit retro video game arcade. And you know what we found? That’s right.

It’s called the Chassis Arcade and is run by friends of everybody’s favourite hairdresser, Bobby. They’re called Chriss, Julian and Laust and they put on a night every Wednesday that started out as a way for friends to game together and quickly became a mecca for Copenhagen’s cool kids and game geeks. Each week they come to the place to go crazy on the shoot-em-ups, made on the beat-em-ups and down right dirty on the racers. One of the owners, Chriss, is the front man for a glam rock band, a poet, a painter, a philosopher, a maths teacher, an arcade owner AND a pinball mechanic. Because why have one job when you can have seven?

We also heard about gaming folk legend Kim, who holds the world record on 1943. Technically, though, to hold this prestigious record, he’ll have to compete at the Funspot Twin Galaxies Tournament in America. What’s that? How can we make this happen? Funny you should ask, because the Chassis Arcade crew have actually set up a kitty to send him there. Find out more and drop them a message on the website!
